X Factor talent Jake Quickenden has caused quite a splash at North Lincolnshire Council by reaching the last six of the boys' section in the TV talent show watched by millions.
When not singing, Jake, who lives in Bottesford, works as a lifeguard at the Pods, in Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.

Carl Carter, duty manager at The Pods, said: "We wish him the best of luck and everyone here will be voting for him if he gets through. Everybody's been watching the show and we're hoping he goes all the way with it."
Yesterday, Jake appeared on the This Morning TV programme with Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
He has attracted lots more media attention - nationally and regionally.

“If he does well and moves to London/Paris/New York/Bournemouth, there will be a vacancy at the Pods, so that has to be good news for someone.
I imagine one of the EJ Galaxy reserves will get more playing time too.
