Part closure of Hull prison could see North Lincolnshire criminals transferred to other parts of the country.

In cuts revealed today by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Hull prison will see some of its accommodation reduced.

It follows the news that six prisons are to close in England as the MOJ revealed plans to build a so-called super-prison.

Prisons at Bullwood Hall, Canterbury, Gloucester, Kingston, Shepton Mallet and Shrewsbury, that house around 6,000 offenders, will close.
