As a result, all cases at the court were heard in one courtroom – leaving those court staff who are working with a large increase in their workload.
Today’s action by the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) included members of court staff.

The action taken in Scunthorpe today, combined with staff illness, led to all cases listed in Court 2 taking place in Court 1.
This was due to only one legal adviser being present, leading to an increase in workload in Court 1.
Today’s list was already very lengthy due to a number of vehicle licensing prosecutions listed for this afternoon.
