“About time! I was wondering when someone would go public and ask THE question?! It's as though Kirk has taken a leaf from Gordon Brown in doing his infamous walk of shame and Macaverty disappearing act!!

But if I may add and more to the point, what became of all Captain Kirk's and Labour's desperate pre election hype about all things Able UK, South Humber Gateway and all the regeneration opportunities they promised for this area?!

Remember all the hype and reports of those jobs figures- anything from 5,000 to 20,000 jobs!!

Has Labour's rhetoric all fizzled out to nothing and become the premature, irresponsible and cynical electioneering to falsely raise people's hopes, aspirations and votes that many suspected at the time?!

Aside from any doubts and concerns over Labour's false promises. It cannot have gone unnoticed that Labour's peak majority has progressively and continually been culled from 14,500 to Nic Dakin's majority of 2,600 at the last election.

If Labour HQ, Scunthorpe Constituency Labour Party, NLC labour Group AND Nic Dakin don't get a grip of the calibre, integrity and credibility of the local party and its leadership pretty damn soon.

As with the local elections; I can well foresee Scunthorpe eventually waking up and turning away from Labour altogether at a not too distant general election!!?”
