“That really is disgraceful, but predictable. Larger trees should have been planted, if possible. The Council need to sort the entire park out, it looks terrible, long grass and weeds all over the place. Perhaps if the council make it look like a park, people will treat it like one.”

“The mindless idiots probably don't even realise the full extent of what they've done, the harm to the community, and the financial cost likely to have been incurred. I bet that the overall cost of replacing each tree won't leave much change from £100 per tree, if any.”

“Does no-one see these idiots committing the senseless damage? Most of us have mobile phones with cameras nowadays, it would be so easy to nail them, but if convicted what sentence will they be handed down, sweet B all, it makes you wonder if it's worth the effort and possible aggro involved, when it's easy to turn the other way and not see anything.”
“I'd just like to congratulate the mindless "idiots" that broke the new trees in Central Park over the weekend. I mean why? Is there any wonder there are few facilities if this is how things are to be treated. The concil have done a good job with Central Park & this is what "BRIGHT SPARKS" go & do. Why spend money on getting a place looking nice again for this to happen. You really couldn't blame the council if they spent no more money in there as it would just be wasted. My next worry for the Park are the new toilet facilities that have been built. How long before our future generation decides to wreck them?”
