    “I guess they're less likely to re-offend if they're in gainful employment, but I can also understand how this smarts a bit at the moment with so many law abiding people losing their jobs. A difficult situation.

    On the other hand, anyone who's been struggling to find work can just knobble the first granny that passes by and get a job in McD's or a local decorating firm.”

    “The ST rarely allow comments on a story that could attract sensible truthful or controversial opinions. I have recently asked, via this discussion forum, for the ST to clarify its policy on comment granting..and guess what? no comment!”
