“I guess they're less likely to re-offend if they're in gainful employment, but I can also understand how this smarts a bit at the moment with so many law abiding people losing their jobs. A difficult situation.
On the other hand, anyone who's been struggling to find work can just knobble the first granny that passes by and get a job in McD's or a local decorating firm.” -

I'm fortunate enough to be in full time employment but I know plenty of genuine law abiding people who through no fault of their own have recently become unemployed. The government once again kicking genuine job seekers while they are down. Unbelievable!”
