“The street where i live has become the latest 'free' car park for hospital staff.
I reside on Highcliff Gardens and over the last 6/9 months it appears to have become the place to park for hospital workers. On many occasions cars are 'double parked' and if an emergency vehicle needed access vital seconds could be lost as it zig-zags around the cars,in fact only today a couple had to take to the road due to a car being parked with 2 wheels on the footpath. I realise that hospital staff do a fantastic job but with a large car park/frequent bus service available at Glanford Park I can see no need to clog up local streets and anybody visiting residents of Highcliff Gardens/Conway Square between 8am and 5pm would be hard pushed to find somewhere to park! I mentioned this to a friend who works at the hospital and she said they had a directive NOT to park down local streets but to use the bus service. It is only a matter of time before a vehicle turning off Avenue Vivian has an impact with a car exiting Highcliff Gardens due to the cars parked on the corner.”
