Change School status lets pupils be creative

Thursday, September 18, 2008, 07:00

NEW HOLLAND Primary School is the first in North Lincolnshire to be awarded a new 'creative' status.

The school has received £20,000 worth funding after successfully achieving a 'Change School' status from the Arts Council England and Creative Partnerships.

This means the school will have increasing flexibility with its curriculum to become more creative.

Pupils have already ditched their textbooks for trowels in a new outdoor environment area.

The school's new headteacher, Tracey Norriss said the 'Change School' status meant learning would be more interactive.
