Best Training is a long established computer based training provider with over 11 years experience and branches in Grimsby and Scunthorpe . We provide learndirect courses and a wide range of other learning opportunities to allow you to develop your skills and job prospects at your own pace. Accredited by all the major awarding bodies including; OCR, EDEXCEL, CITY & GUILDS and The Institute of Book Keepers . Our friendly, experienced, well qualified and helpful staff will work with you to identify the best courses to meet your needs and guide you in bettering your work opportunities.

Our trained staff will sit down with you during an Information Advice & Guidance meeting (IAG) for which we are MATRIX accredited and explore how we can support you in achieving your goals.The next step depending on your needs is to undertake a basic skills assessment . The majority of the training provided by Best Training comes from English & Maths courses funded through the governments Learning and Skills Council (LSC), so when you complete one of these courses funding sometimes becomes available for other things such as:- Fork Lift Licence Training, Security Industry Authority Licence (SIA), Passport to Safety (CCNSG), Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), Basic Food, Hygiene Certificate, First Aid at Work Certificate And many more.

A new addition to our repertoire is Computerised Accounts and Payroll , this course is offered at both our centres and is run in an afternoon or on an evening . It can be run as one-to-one training or in classes of no more than eight students.

OCR Level one 8 x 2 hour sessions

OCR Level two 12 x 2 hour sessions

OCR Level three 12 x 3 hour sessions

We have an excellent 1st time pass rate at all these levels. We can also offer bespoke training to companies in this subject funded via Train to Gain. In conjunction with this we also run ECDL(European Computer Driving Licence) which allows those with little or no skill in IT to learn and progress through to the ITQ (NVQ in IT). We also offer National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) in the following areas via learndirect or Train to Gain, Health and Social Care , ITQ, Skills for Life (English and Maths). In the near future we will also be able to offer NVQs in the following, Computerised Accounts and Payroll, Business Management and Administration, Security, Building (brick laying & plastering)

These are on going projects and we are hopeful of extending this list in the near future. Train to Gain is a massive Government initiative to help British Industry and commerce to raise the skills of the national workforce. Train to Gain funding is directed towards supporting employers with some or all of the costs of employees training, and most of that training is targeted towards achievement of work relevant skills that lead to accredited qualifications, such as NVQs. NVQs, National Vocational Qualifications , are competence based qualifications, and are achieved through assessment of skills and knowledge learned on the job. We endeavour to work with employers to meet their needs via NVQ/T2G up skilling their workforce and helping to move their companies forward.
