MOTORING: A Hull motor engineers has completed a major rebranding as part of an expansion programme that will enable the business to cater for all major car marques.

Classic 900, which originally launched as an exclusive Saab specialist, is now trading as Classic 900 Moto-Tech Solutions and the company has also launched its biggest marketing exercise in its 13-year history, involving the development of a new website www.classic 900.com

The Kimberley Street firm has invested heavily in new diagnostic equipment that will enable it to compete with the main dealerships on servicing and repair and one section of the garage has been dedicated to a new motorcycle repair, service and restoration area.

The business was launched in 1999 by partners Glenn Marks, Bryan Ward and Simon Cole, who between them have almost 100 years' experience in the motor sales, service and repair business in Hull.

Glenn described the rebranding and expansion as the most important development in the business since its inception.

He said: "Largely as a result of requests from our existing customer base, we have expanded our business to enable us to undertake services, repairs, diagnostics, maintenance, air conditioning services and 'chips' for all leading car marques, including Saab, Mercedes, Jaguar, BMW, Volvo, Lexus, Vauxhall and Ford.

"We've also moved into the restoration and renovation of classic cars and motorcycles and as well as having a number of individual customers we're hoping to establish links with vintage and classic vehicle associations throughout the North."
