APP-Frod's poor home form let them down yet again after when they went down 2-1 to Brighouse Town after they had snatched an early lead.

There were only two minutes gone on the clock when Callum Dransfield fired Frod ahead after a long throw from Simon Welton had been flicked into his path by Michael Bettney.

Brighouse missed the chance of an early equaliser when Wayne Crossley blazed over from close range.

Frod battled well in the first half but the visitors stepped up a gear after the interval and were back on level terms after 52 minutes through a Lee Burgess header.

Andrew Lockhart then snatched the winner for Brighouse after 70 minutes with a good side-foot finish.

In the closing stages Frod were denied an equaliser when Bettney slipped at the vital moment in front of goal.

The Steelmen are in action again tomorrow night at Staveley MW.
