More money for Humber LEP to spend on growth
The region is set to benefit from almost £6 million investment in improving its infrastructure.
The Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is to receive £5,917,641 from the Government’s Growing Places Fund.
The sum is £117,000 more than expected due to amended figures for 2010 and less money going to devolved administrations.
The money will form the first phase of the LEP’s Humber Infrastructure Fund, launched last month, which aims to support developments that will create new jobs.
Developers have until Friday to submit expressions of interest for the fund.
Lord Haskins of Skidby, chairman of the Humber LEP, said: “The fund is designed to help viable stalled developments get off the drawing board quickly.
“The response since we launched the fund last month has been very positive, and I hope more interested developers will come forward over the next week.”
