ADHD sufferer produces leaflet

A LEAFLET created by a schoolboy sufferer of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder has been distributed throughout the county to raise awareness of the condition.

Bradlei Byrne (10), of Scunthorpe, was sick of being labelled a naught kid and set out to change people's perception by raising awareness of ADHD.

He said: "People at school say it is nothing because they do not understand it. I want to let people know about ADHD and to help other people cope with it."

Bradlei enlisted the help of Coun Tony Gosling, cabinet member for children's services at North Lincolnshire Council to help spread the message about his condition by producing a leaflet.

Coun Gosling said: "I think what he's done is something quite special. And it goes to show what a brave boy he is to not only confront his condition, but to want to help others deal with theirs."

The leaflet is being distributed to all schools, youth centres, children's centres, sport and leisure voluntary sector clubs in North Lincolnshire.
