Armed robbers grab till from store
The five men burst into the Polski Mini Market, Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe, shortly after 6pm on Sunday and told the shopkeeper to hand over money.
One of the robbers then threw the shop till to the ground and began kicking it in an attempt to break it open. before picking the cash register up and running off with it.
On the way out, his accomplices grabbed three bottles of vodka and phone vouchers worth £100.
A police spokeswoman said: "Between the 6.05pm and 6.14pm on Sunday January 11, five men entered the Polski Mini Market on Frodingham Road and demanded money.
"It is reported they were in possession of three knives and what was described as a pistol.
"This is a very rare crime and we are investigating all possible lines of enquiry– we would ask anyone with any information to get in touch with the police."
