Sue Antcliff, the international coordinator at Scunthorpe's Frederick Gough School, received the school's award at a high-profile ceremony in London, presented by broadcaster and journalist George Alagiah.
Kelly Humphries, her counterpart at Messingham Primary School received the award for its work.
At Frederick Gough, projects involved looking at Burkina Faso in west Africa, Japan, China, Russia and America.
Messingham school developed Chinese and French links.
Frederick Gough head teacher Mr Ben Lawrence said: "This is all down to the hard work of the staff and the enthusiasm of our pupils who take up as many opportunities as they can."
Ms Humphries said: "I'm very proud as it was a team effort, everyone took part and it was very exciting going to the award ceremony."
The International School Award was started in 1999 to recognise the schools leading the way in giving children an international outlook.
