Cameron backs Brigg biomass plant

Saturday, September 06, 2008, 07:00

CONSERVATIVE Party leader David Cameron MP said he supported a planned biomass in Brigg, when he attended a special public meeting last night.

Hundreds of people concerned about this topic and also eager to know the Tory leader's stance on other issues packed into St John's Church Hall, Brigg.

He sat alone in front of about 100 people for an hour for the session.

On national issues he said there would be no 'money in the cupboard' if he dislodged the Labour Government to offer the public in the way of major financial relief.

In response to questions about his views on the planned biomass plant for Scawby Brook he said: "I support biomass. It's a good way of using different fuels."

Mr Cameron also answered questions about the three proposed travellers sites in the region, polyclinics, British involvement in Iraq and his plans for Government.
