North Kelsey paedophile jailed for sexual assaults

Saturday, September 06, 2008, 07:00

A PAEDOPHILE who preyed on a primary school-aged girl, has been jailed.

Simon Darker (37), of Westland Crescent, North Kelsey, admitted four charges of sexual assault on a child.

Judge David Tremberg, sitting at Hull Crown Court on Friday, told him he currently presented a danger of serious harm to the public.

Because of this Judge Tremberg made subject him to prison recall for three years after this sentence had expired.

Darker was also ordered to register as a sex offender following his release, banned from working with children for life and made subject to a sexual offender prevention order 10 years.

The offences came to light when his young victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was staying with her grandmother.

Darker was jailed for four and a half years.
