Royle Liz and Isle man Stan get MBEs
87-year-old Liz, who is originally from Crosby, has been given the accolade for her numerous onscreen performances.
She is most well known for her portrayal of Nana in the Royle Family.
Liz, who went to Crosby Junior School and later the former Scunthorpe Modern and Day Commercial Schools in Cole Street, has been a favourite in sitcoms and dramas after making her TV debut in 1970 aged almost 50.
In 1994, she landed the role of Letitia Cropley in The Vicar Of Dibley, which saw her become a household name, although her character died in the 1996 Easter special episode.
Recent years have seen her take part in Wallace And Gromit The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit, Oliver Twist and Keeping Mum before a big screen appearance in 2005 as Grandma Georgina in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.
Mr Boor, who is a member of Haxey Parish Council, has also been given an MBE in recognition of his voluntary service to the community in North Lincolnshire.
Mr Boor, from Haxey is a member of the League of Friends in Scunthorpe, the Agricultural Society in Epworth and the Parish Council and has been for over 20 year.
