Met Office issues severe weather warning

A SEVERE weather warning has been issued ahead of expected storms in the region later today.

The Met Office expects heavy showers or thunderstorms to break out and last throughout the afternoon.

The warning says some of North Lincolnshire should miss the worst, although rainfall of up to 30mm in a three-hour period is expected in places.

Met Office advice is to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
