Nine offenders from Scunthorpe and Barton sentenced by court

THE following cases were dealt with at North Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court:

Stephen Stanley Williams, 45,of Woodland Gardens, Scunthorpe, was found guilty of driving a motor vehicle while using a hand-held mobile telephone. He was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £85 and his licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Joshua Kyle Humphrey, 18, of Tomlinson Avenue, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to theft, handling stolen goods and the possession of a controlled Class B drug. He was committed to a detention centre for six months, suspended for 12 months, was required to be under curfew for six months and be electronically monitored, take part in Thinking Skills for 15 sessions and Restorative Justice Programme for four sessions, attend appointments with the probation service for 12 months, carry out unpaid work for 200 hours and was ordered to pay compensation of £149.99.

Phillip Collin Downing, 19, of St Margarets Walk, Ashby, pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour. He was required to be under curfew for 12 weeks and be electronically monitored and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

Simon Roffee, 25, of Fairfield Drive, Barton, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. He was fined £60, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £40 and his licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Kerrie Ann Stroud, 29, of Tomlinson Avenue, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to speeding. She was fined £60, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £40 and his licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Richie David Pugh, 25, of Detuyll Street, Scunthorpe, was found guilty of using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence. He was fined £145, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £85 and was disqualified from holding a driving licence for six months.

Jason Voorhees, 35, of Clevedon Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85.

Kevin Riley, 55, of Buckingham Avenue, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to theft. He was required to carry out unpaid work for 100 hours within the next 12 months and was ordered to pay compensation of £2,195.20, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.

Dominic Joseph William Harle, 23, of Meadow Road, Scunthorpe, was found guilty of assault. He was required to carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next 12 months and was ordered to pay compensation of £150 and costs of £200.
