People
THE Scunthorpe Telegraph is calling on its readers to help celebrate the lives of North Lincolnshire people.
We want to hear about golden weddings, diamond weddings, 100th birthdays, retirements, fundraising and special achievements.
We are also devoting free editorial space to a regular obituary column and this will be dedicated to people from all walks of life.
Mel Cook, Scunthorpe Telegraph editor, said: “Scunthorpe and its surrounding towns and villages are home to some truly remarkable people and we want to celebrate that fact.
“We take great pride in being able to report on their achievements and pay tribute to loved ones lost.
“Please contact us with your stories and pictures.”
Few things bring us together more than a wedding so send us in your photographs from your big day.
In the Scunthorpe Telegraph’s reception you can get special wedding forms so we can include a report to accompany your picture.
It will make a great keepsake for yourself, family and friends. And there’s no cost.
We’d also like to hear about people celebrating 50, 60 and 70 years of marriage. If you are, or know someone who is, please contact us.
If there’s a 100th birthday, a graduation, a sports day, a prom or someone’s got a special award, we’d also like to hear from you.
And we’d also like you to help us celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed on, so contact us and pay tribute in an obituary.
Mr Cook said: “The Scunthorpe Telegraph is all about the people of this area and we want you to help us recognise them and their achievements.”
To tell us your story, write to Newsdesk, Scunthorpe Telegraph, 4-5 Park Square, Scunthorpe, North Lincs, DN15 6JH or call (01724) 273136.
