The best in Scunthorpe

“Please, please ignore the stupid negative comments posted about this store as it would appear there is an Internet troll at work here.

The staff are friendly, helpful and always on hand. I have never once found any of the animals in a poor condition and I visit this store at least once a week. Stock levels are consistently high and the staff will endeavour to obtain anything that is not usually stocked.

I am not affiliated with or related to any of the owners or staff, I am simply telling the truth as a longstanding customer instead of trying to sabotage the reputation of a very decent pet shop.”

I'd love to find something positive to say...

“Every time I go here I tell myself that I'm not going back again, but I do in the vain hope that conditions may have improved, yes they usually have most of the things I go for with regards rabbit and dog food but bird products are poorly stocked and they offer no decent pet bird food - no pellets and the so called parrot foods are nearly all sunflower seeds and peanuts, even what they feed their own birds on, both of which are bad in large amounts. And the birds? The last few times I've been in I just wanted to take them all to the nearest vets as they all looked ill - on one occasion I went in and saw a canary dying on the floor, on another they had a cockatiel and a budgie with breathing dificulties sat in a cage on the end with a not for sale sign on that looked like they were slowly dying, plus other occasions where birds looked very ill and were just left on the floors not to mention often the water has looked like it's not been changed for a couple of days - I have birds and know they make a mess of their water but it never looks as slimey as these ones did!”

Once again looked after like royalty

“Just like to thank Ray and his staff for always looking after me, they are the best whatever pet I have no matter how strange they always get the food I need and are always ready to help if I need it.

out of stock

“service very poor, out of stock of my dog food again. no one at the till,but it did not matter because i cannot get mydog food. ill have to go to another shop from now on...... ”

best pet shop in scunny

“I have visited this pet shop loads of times and always found the staff to be very polite and helpfull and couls always give me proper info...the animals are clean and well cared for my children love to go and visit them. the prices are very reasonable too...i would reccommend this shop to evrybody 10/10”

OUT OF STOCK

“I ordered dog food from here 3 times and i am still waiting,the girl said the wholesalers are out of stock so i went to a nearby pet shop and got it, he had lots and he said so did the wholesalers.SO I AM NOT GOING BACK AGAIN.”

unavailable stock?

“in responce to the review about staf being helpful.... i beg to differ. i went to the shop as i needed to stock up on supplies for my animals i have. i was dissapointed that the majority of things i wanted was out of stock but was left with some hope as i were promised that they could be ordered for me.. on returning to collect what was ordered on the specified day i was even more dissapointed to be fobbed of with a lame excuse that all of the ordered items were yet again unavailable. my friend commented when i told her about my exprience with the shop that she no longer shops there because she bought her small daughter a rabbit from there being told it was a boy only to find days later from buying it that it had given birth to two babies both of which had died.. the vet explained that the mother of the young was actually to young to breed. ”
