Turnbull confident players will not lose focus at Norwich
THE landscape at Scunthorpe United may have changed dramatically over recent weeks, but for acting assistant manager Lee Turnbull, maintaining the status quo is top of his list of priorities.
The Iron's chief scout – helping to fill the void left by the sacking of Ian Baraclough, Steve Parkin and Kevin Pressman more than two weeks ago – is likely to continue to aid caretaker boss Tony Daws for the game at Norwich City on Saturday, with no new manager as yet appointed.

STATUS QUO: United's acting assistant boss Lee Turnbull.
The general consensus is that a deal to secure Baraclough's replacement may be close, with Bury manager Alan Knill at the top of United's list.
But for all the uncertainty surrounding the club, Turnbull thinks the players should have no problems focusing on the primary job for everyone at Glanford Park – keeping Scunthorpe in the Championship.
"You would like to think the players are fully focused for every game," Turnbull told the Telegraph.
"It will be a difficult game at Norwich and whoever pulls on a Scunthorpe United shirt, we expect them to play with pride, passion and belief.
"Having been in the position myself with a few clubs where, unfortunately, a manager does move on, you have got to really concentrate on your own game first, on your own professional pride, how you prepare for matches, how you train and then bring that to the team.
"Players being players, they have knuckled down and they have worked hard in training, as they have done all this season.
"Hopefully we can produce a performance at Norwich."
Getting a squad motivated is no mean feat, particularly when it is one stuck in the relegation mire and on an eight game losing streak away from home heading into the clash at Carrow Road.
But that is the task currently facing Daws and Turnbull, for the time being at least.
"We have been informed by the chairman just to get on with things on a day to day basis," added the latter.
"That hasn't changed and until we are informed otherwise, that is what me and Tony will endeavour to do.
"It is like driving a car I suppose, everyone passes their driving test but drives in a different way.
"I think all managers and coaches have different styles, but we have just tried to make sure things are done as they have been this season, in a way of preparation toward the game that has been uniform.
"We try to prepare the players and get them focused.
"In training we have not really changed too much around because the players need to focus and keep their minds on the job of getting this club out of the trouble we are in."

“Ramon Numez, described as having a low centre of gravity. Hope that he is not a Kelly & falls down at the slightest touch & gets up quickly after the action has gone.
As for Mr. Knill, he was a reasonable player. He could possibly be a decent manager & he could be successful but it depends on his terms & directive.
If he is determined to make a name for himself then he needs to keep the IRON in the Championship.
One wonders what he has been told to do, having been given a 'Rolling Contract'
Does that mean let Scunny go down to save money on player terms, seating, extensions for away supporters & get money for dropping down, but get us back up again ASAP
That is not an option to me or all true supporters.
I HOPE !!!!!!!!!”
