Five singers will be battling it out for a place in the grand final at Reeds Hotel, Barton-Upon-Humber, on September 8.
The Beacon, Burringham Road, Scunthorpe, will host heat six of the competition at 8.30pm for a 9pm start, on Monday.
Crooner Paul Gooch (39), from Oriole Road, Ashby, will be singing ballads by Boyzone and Westlife and hopes to impress.
He said: "This is the second time I've done Pub Idol as I entered last year but had only three days to rehearse. I've had longer this year to prepare so hope I'm in for a chance to win.
"I'm really nervous though."
Grace Bower (19), of Burringham Road, Scunthorpe, is hoping to clinch a win.
"I'm really looking forward to it as I got through to last year's semi-finals and am hoping to do one better this time."
But Grace will be meeting stiff competition with contestant Joanne Taylor (25), from Scotter Road, Scunthorpe, who also made it through to last year's semi final.
Joanne, who will be belting out two tracks by Dusty Springfield, said she was feeling nervous.
"I'm not hoping to win, it's just the taking part for me, although I'm really nervous," she said.
"I've got my family and friends cheering me on though, so hopefully it'll be fine."
Rocker Graeme Drayton (24), from Foxhills Road, Scunthorpe, is hoping to wow the crowd with his rendition of Every Rose Has its Thorn by 80s rock band Poison and Bob Dylan's Knocking on Heaven's Door.
Graeme is no stranger to the stage having already formed his own band called Golden Age for which is lead singer and rhythm guitarist.
Graeme said: "I've also done karaoke before so I'm not mike shy and will just get up there and have a go and enjoy it."
The laid-back rocker added: "If I win, that would be a bonus but if not, I'll just shake the judges hands and say thanks."
Claire Snowden, from Digby Street, Scunthorpe, will also be taking to the stage and performing on the night.
After Monday, only one more heat will be held to complete the final line-up and decide who will be in for a chance of winning the £500 cash prize and the coveted Pub Idol 2008 trophy.
