Heat five contestants played to a packed and enthusiastic house at the Jolly Sailor pub, Gunness.

And there is a video of their performances available to watch on www.thisisscunthorpe.co.uk

Rocker Adam Oliver (26), of Gainsborough, sang The Calling's Wherever You Will Go and Guns n Roses' Sweet Child o' Mine.

Pop artiste Lee Bourton (21), of Victoria Road, Ashby, sang Walkin' in Memphis as covered by Cher, and Westlife's Home.

Soulful Ian McCulloch (43), of Sheffield Street, Scunthorpe, sang the Temptations' My Girl and Wet Wet Wet's Love Is All Around.

Crooner Richard Bailey sang George Benson's In Your Eyes and the Boyzone cover of Words.

Bernadette Smith sang Bob Segar's Old Time Rock n Roll and Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U.

And Lilly Boult sang Celine Dion's Think Twice and Kelly Clarkson's Never Again.

The winners going through to the final at Reeds Hotel on Monday, September 8, were Bernadette (25), of Gainsborough, and Lilly (33), of Station Road, Gunness.

Judge and professional performer Gray said: "The two winners gave just that little bit extra with their songs."
