SCUNTHORPE United do not look like being involved in any activity before the closure of the transfer window tonight.

Officials at Glanford Park confirmed tonight that they were 'not expecting anything' to happen before the 11pm deadline.

Arrivals had always been unlikely, with boss Brian Laws making no secret of the fact that he had to clear the wage bill to free up room for any new signings.

“Got to agree with you there justneil, but in brian we trust,so lets get behind the team and help them over the safety line. Brian will need alot of favours during the summer to make us promotion contenders but hes the man. UP THE IRON”

“we wont be shipping anyone out because we have no one worth shipping out, after all the infamous Knill got shot of anyone worth some salt, as for new signings well that wont happen as no one wants to come to scunny knowing that there is no money no future no backbone left at this club due to Team Wharton/Knill”
