Fine reputation

The China Royal, in Bridge Street, Brigg, is a great place to go all year round - eat in, or takeaway. Our last midweek visit coincided with a terrible snowstorm. But the time it took to get there and back home with our order was well worth it, given the standard of the cuisine. Decently priced, too. The China Royal has many regular customers who keep going back, time after time. It's reputation is very high. Some parking is available on the street outside the premises but the alternative is to park (free) in Spring's Parade car park (close to Tesco) and make the very short walk over the County Bridge to the China Royal. The first time I visited this establishment, many years ago, was with Peter Moore, the long-serving editor of the Grimsby and Scunthorpe Telegraphs, to attend an afternoon banquet proprietor Simon Ho was hosting attended by well-heeled business types from across the county. On a number of occasions after that, the generous editor rewarded editorial projects above and beyond the call of duty by sending instructions to take Mrs F down to the China Royal for a meal on him. For some years after that, if I went to eat there with the family, Simon would say: "I know - send the bill to Peter Moore!" The China Royal was one of our late editor's most favourite eateries, and tried a good many in his time. High praise, indeed!

    Delightful Oriental Cuisine

“The China Royal offers delightful oriental cuisine within intimate, warm surroundings which are ideal for the most romantic dinner or the largest banquet.

There is an array of dishes available on the menu, including house specials and is popular among the local residents of Brigg. There is also a takeaway service available so you can also enjoy a delicious meal from the comfort of your own home.”
