“ We went to Bellinis for a mid-week, early evening meal. The staff were friendly and attentive on arrival and throughout. The menu was varied and appealing. The food, though a little slow, was served hot and was very, very tasty. We felt the cost was very reasonable and we will definitely be returning to Bellinis again. We would all recommend Bellinis for a lovely Italian meal. ”

“We eat here regularly with friends and family (and did so too when it it was Giovanni's) and have always enjoyed the food. Good atmosphere for families and it also has some tables 'tucked away in corners' if you want a meal for two. All of the normal traditional Italian dishes available but now has more varied menu under the new owner; imho a better choice of starters and main courses e.g. goat's cheese tartlet, confit of duck, mussels are also a great choice (as a starter or main course), and I've always found the loin of lamb succulent. The tea time special offers good value for money, especially fillet stroganoff (and the restaurant is less busy early on). Staff have been consistent over the last 6 months which is a big improvement, and the new manager, Luca, is attentive. We've always had good service as regulars.”

“Went to Bellini's as part of a group of four, booked a table in advance, however we were left 40 minutes waiting before being approached for our order (we had informed them that we were all there). At this point we expressed our disatisfaction and informed them due to the delay at this stage we were about to leave, they reassured us our table was ready and that it was because they were busy. To be fair the reception area was full, though the restaurant itself only appeared half full, people who came in after us were shown to their seats first and when we were shown to ours it was to a table that had no one had been sat at whilst we were in there. We sat down with only one of the four us with a drink, yet there was no query as to whether we would like another drink, this query didn't come for another 30 minutes (just as we approached the second point of walking out) along with an apology for the delay and that our food would just be another 3 minutes, which translated as 15 minutes in reality!. Food itself was good however huge delay severely detracted from enjoyment. We had a dessert and found that the coffee's we had ordered at the same time arrived before the dessert, even though the coffee took 15 minutes, two of our party ordered cheese & biscuits however they prepared it for all four of us! So all in all a two course meal took nearly three hours to eat nice but overpriced food, very poor service from all areas, needless to say, none of us will be going back again.”

“Bellini is a spacious Italian restaurant in Scunthorpe that is located on Oswald Road. Their menu has a wide variety of top Italian cuisine but has caused a mix reaction from regulars since its change from Giovanni’s. Still a top restaurant, however.”

“Always used to be popular when it was Giovannis, so i thought i would give it a try. A large menu selection, but a little on the expensive side, the food was nice but seems to have lost the atmosphere that it once had”

“Admittedly not been for a few months, but nowhere near as good as it used to be when it was the former Giovannis. Food was okay, but price was expensive for what you were actually getting. Staff not the friendliest either. Last time we were there, at about 10pm, staff were rudely trying to clear our plates before we'd finished eating. Was very disappointed.”
