“ This is an award winning and very popular restaurant in Scunthorpe. Colosseo is an Italian Restaurant located on Ravendale Street North. The waitering service here is second to none and the food is exquisite. Prices may vary but you get what you pay for here. The perfect restaurant for that special occasion. ”

“We had the pleasure of going to Colloseo’s on Wednesday night to celebrate our daughters 16th Birthday and received top quality service and food. We were well looked after by our star waiter ‘Ivan’ who was very attentive. He went the extra step by arranging a surprise for our daughter....when he brought out her dessert with a lit candle on it, the lights dimmed and they sang congratulations to her – she was very happy! The food is very good and we can recommend the Scallops, the Lobster filled Ravioli and the Peppered Steak. As with all things, if you want quality, you pay for it....we got very good value for money....so much so, we went back for lunch the next day!”

“We went here to celebrate Valentines Day although we went on Saturday evening and not Monday, therefore it was very busy. We were asked to wait in the downstairs cafe whilst our table was being prepared upstairs. Not very sociable as there were people dining downstairs. The first thing I would say is that the service was first class. The starter of scallop and parma ham was delicious and the mussels were as good as anywhere, the chilli garlic bread was very tasty. Then the mains, we were not so happy with the pizza, being a little doughy and bland, and the medallions of pork whilst being nice was nothing special, the accompanying vegetables though were very good. We had no room for the home made puddings although they did look nice. The lighting was too bright and could do with turning down a little, the restaurant was smaller than we expected and the decor is a bit dated. Overall, we did have a very pleasant evening but for the price we wouldn't go to the upstairs restaurant again, but we'll give it one more go and try the cafe at a lunchtime for a pasta with the family.”

“Went to this following a review from another source. Quite disappointing. Food was ok but nothing special. Certainly if you've experience Italian food elsewhere, like Italy for example. The prices were on the high side too. Again ok if you're planning a special night's meal, not so if you're after a family meal. Doubt we'll be going again, that said it's probably one of the best Scunthorpe has to offer. I realise that doesn't says a lot about the rest.”

“Colosseo manages to retain its originalty and quality of food and has done so since it opened many years ago under the management of Carlo and Connie. Try the rest but be assured you will always return to Colosseo if you appreciate good food well cooked and pleasantly served in this family run restaurant.. It is "Simply the best"”
