More room at the Reindeer Inn as guest chalet block approved in Sandtoft
An Isle of Axholme hostelry has been given the go-ahead to expand the business - safeguarding jobs.
North Lincolnshire Council has granted planning permission for a seven-bedroom chalet block at the Reindeer Inn, on Thorne Road in Sandtoft.

This application was considered by the authority to be of significant public interest.
Councillors attending the monthly planning meeting at Scunthorpe Civic Centre were told the "chalet-style bedroom accommodation" would allow people attending functions to stay overnight.

The expansion would secure the business's future "in a demanding financial climate" and secure the employment of four full-time and 12 part-time staff.
The committee deferred an application in Barnetby for permission to erect a marquee up to 12 times a year to use for wedding receptions and functions.
This related to Rookery Farm, Railway Street and is also considered to be of significant public interest.
A decision will now be made at a future meeting of the committee.
CROWLE: Planning permission was granted to change the use of part of the existing touring site at 7 Lakes Country Park, Wharf Road, to a static caravan park.
BARNETBY: Planning permission was granted to raise the roof height of a garage at 56 St Barnabas Road.
HORKSTOW: An application for outline permission to erect two detached houses and garages adjoining 16 Main Street was withdrawn before coming before the planning committee for a decision.
LUDDINGTON: Planning permission was granted to erect extensions to Meredyke Cottage, 74 Meredyke Road.
