In an interview on American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's radio show, the 20-year-old dancer said she needed time to concentrate on her country music career.
Julianne, who's nabbed two titles in four seasons on the popular dance competition - America's version of the UK's Strictly Come Dancing - said: "I really, really want to focus on the music and, you know, kind of be taken seriously a little bit."
Julianne and her celebrity partner, Cody Linley, were eliminated from the show on Tuesday night.
This year, the blonde released a self-titled country album and a holiday album.
