Tony Yayo's loyalty to 50 Cent

Monday, November 17, 2008, 17:08

Tony Yayo has revealed why he plans to stay loyal to 50 Cent.

The rapper - whose real name is Marvin Bernard - is a childhood friend and founding member of the G-Unit team, alongside 50 and Lloyd Banks.

"I've been loyal to 50 (Cent) for like over 10 years, you know, and this business right here is not about a lot of friends, you know. It's a cutthroat business," he said at the MTV TRL wrap party at Nikki Beach Midtown in New York, after his appearance on the final show.

"A lot of artists like Young Buck and The Game are sitting at home, doing nothing because they were disloyal to 50. We have our Games and our Bucks that were part of the group and they felt that it was better to be disloyal - it gets you more publicity."

Tony continued: "You see, when you go against 50 Cent, it gets you more press than when you don't go against him."

His steadfast loyalty has been repaid as he has made the jump from music to TV - being on the judging panel of 50 Cent: The Money And The Power.

"I'm just happy to be on the show and have the opportunity because 50 (Cent) has given us a lot of opportunities so I am never disloyal to him - he's a good guy," Tony added.

Regarding the smoking ban, when you go out and go back home you no longer smell like an ashtray. Passive smoking kills. Period.
