The Scottish giants are taking part in the annual Emirates Cup tournament hosted by Arsenal.
They play French side Lyon this afternoon before facing the Gunners tomorrow.
And Hooper is expected to play some part in one if not both of those games in his first taste of action since his £2.4million move from Glanford Park at the start of this week.
And if he catches the eye of manager Neil Lennon, then Hooper might just have some part to play next Wednesday as Celtic try to retrieve a 3-0 deficit against SC Braga in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
"I've shown I can score goals in the Championship. Now I need to show I can do it in the Champions League and SPL," he told the Scottish media.
"I owe Neil Lennon for this chance. I need to repay his faith in me.
"My target for the season is 20 goals – that's my minimum aim. I just want to get as many as I can get. I am here to score goals."
