"It was a sunny day and I am sure he was behind that.
"My dad was brought up in the speeches and we all thought about him all day.
"In the speeches, my uncle said my dad would have been proud of me.
"He would have loved the day because it was brilliant and just how we had planned."
The couple met at a friend's 18th birthday party six-and-a-half years ago and have been inseparable ever since.
The bride said she woke up at 5am on the big day because she was so excited.
She said: "I was a bit late getting to the church because of an accident on the road, but I got there in the end. The nerves did not hit me until I reached the church door.
"We had about 70 guests attending the ceremony and it was a lovely traditional service."
She chose her best friend Kim Heath and cousins Hannah and Poppi Carmichael as her bridesmaids.
Mr Willing chose his best friend Lewis Ray as his best man.
The couple held their reception and evening celebration at the Wortley Hotel on Rowland Road in Scunthorpe.
The bride said her dad and mother Vicki Matthews had a large part in helping to organise the wedding.
Mr Matthews had been working hard and saving money for the wedding since the couple got engaged in April last year.
After the tragic news of his death, the family decided Rebecca's brother Scott would give his sister away instead of her dad.
Mrs Willing said: "Scott did Chris and I both proud.
"He did a great job and although he was nervous, I could not tell until somebody told me after he took a deep breath before we went through the church doors.
"My mum also had a good day and really enjoyed it.
"Everyone had a great time and told us afterwards what an amazing wedding it was.
"I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who came and especially for all the cards my dad's friends sent."
The newlyweds are now getting ready for a two week Mediterranean cruise for their honeymoon.
