Three workers taken to hospital from Tata Steel in Scunthorpe - incident being investigated
Three workers were treated in hospital following an incident at the Tata Steel works in Scunthorpe.
Scunthorpe fire crews were called to an area of the extensive plant, off Brigg Road, late on Tuesday.

The incident involved a torpedo ladle - used to carry hot metal between the blastfurnaces and the steelmaking plant.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service crews attended.

Last night (Wednesday) Tata issued a statement.
A spokesman said: “An incident occurred at the Queen Anne blast furnace at 4.58pm on Tuesday.
“Three workers were taken to hospital where they were treated for the effects of smoke before being released.
“An investigation has now been launched by Tata Steel to determine the cause of the incident.”
