Nine-year-old airlifted to hospital after crash near Hemswell Cliff

A nine-year-old boy who has been airlifted to hospital after a crash near Hemswell Cliff has sustained serious injuries.

Police said tonight that the boy suffered serious injuries, but officers do not believe the injuries are life-threatening.

Investigators say the incident in which the boy was injured involved a black Ford Escort.

The driver of the vehicle is said to be from the Doncaster area.

The crash is believed to have taken place near the Post Office on the A631 at around 6pm.

 As a result, the A631 between Harpswell Roundabout and Caenby Corner has been temporaily closed by Lincolnshire Police.
