GET snap happy and send us Your Pictures!
In recent times the Scunthorpe Telegraph has received thousands of pictures from our readers. And with the summer holidays about to get into full swing, we want you to send in more of your sizzling shots.
Scunthorpe Telegraph editor Mel Cook said: “When we first launched Your Pictures we were amazed at how many people wanted to share their fun photos with us.
“Over the years we have had a huge variety of snaps sent to us.
“And we’ve been able to print them for readers of the Scunthorpe Telegraph to enjoy and display them in slideshows on www.thisisscunthorpe.co.uk
“Children and animals always prove popular.
“We’ve had birthday parties, first days at school, walks in the park and fun on the beach.
“But it’s not just youngsters who’ve been in the frame as plenty of adults have got in on the act too.
“We’ve had snaps of nights out around town, stag nights and hen nights.
“There have been pictures from clubs, sports events and even ones of Mum and Dad and Grandma and Grandad relaxing at home with a cuppa.
“Lots of people have also sent us pictures of their favourite pets, some at play and some dressed up.
“Readers have had great fun with Your Pictures and we want them to continue doing so.”
As well as fun pictures, some contributors have also submitted pictures of news stories.
Mr Cook said: “Readers are our eyes and ears and they often see things before we do.
“The majority of people now carry mobile phones and picture events as they happen.
“Such photos have regularly appeared in our news pages.”
